ETS Test Results

These tests demonstrate that PSC products
meet or exceed the PM 2.5 standard.

Membrane RZ®

Membrane RZ® from PSC now uses a new generation of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) membrane that can provide extended filter bag life, excellent product capture and superior dimensional stability at lower cost. Optimized for pulse-jet filtration, filtration tests performed by ETS Laboratories (Reference) show that filter bags made from Membrane RZ® remove  99.9999% of particles 2.5 micron or larger under prescribed operating conditions. Moreover, tests show that Membrane RZ® bags exhibit higher air flow and less clogging than competitive membrane laminates.

Depending on the membrane backing, bags made from Membrane RZ® fabrics can be specified for operating temperature ranges from 200°F to 550°F and chemical resistance for the broadest application window for both acids and alkalis. In addition to exceptional airflow, decreased pressure drop, Membrane RZ® filter bags are over 50% stronger than competitive membrane bags and they are guaranteed not to delaminate.

Whether it is in the production of .9 micon & larger pharmaceutical powders, finely dispersed catalysts, cement, metals, fertilizers, plastic resins, the latest generation of pigments or rare earth oxides, filter bags made with Membrane RZ® offer greater versatility at lower cost.

Fiber-Lite™

The introduction of Fiber-Lite™ high-performance, three-layer structure has revolutionized the technology of air pollution control. This unique, innovative concept is far superior to the usual filtration media for particulate removal and mist elimination. As a result, industries around the world have increased production, reduced energy and maintenance costs, and reduced emissions to comply with ever more stringent air and water pollution control standards.

The Fiber-Lite™ three layers structure is simple, yet surprisingly effective. The basic structure of the mesh forms a ladder-like arrangement of filaments, forming double-V systems that intersect each other at right angles. The engineered mesh construction has a large surface area and void space. The stacking of micro-fibers into mesh layers optimizes the effectiveness and range of solid or liquid particle removal for continuous service at 275°F continuous service with excursion to 300°F. The unique media eliminates problems associated with corrosion, contamination, and erosion. The lightweight material is flexible and strong. While Fiber-Lite™ fabrics contain no nano-fibers, they meet PM 2.5 tests. Fiber-Lite™ products are so effective they make both traditional and nano-fiber filter media obsolete.
